This website is owned and operated by Charmhaven Laundrette. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and our services. By accessing or using our website or any of our services (including self-serve laundry, full-service wash/dry/fold, ironing, dry cleaning, and pickup & delivery), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility to Use Our Services
To use our website or receive our services, you must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. You may not use our website or services if doing so is prohibited under the laws of your jurisdiction.
2. Prices and Changes to Services
Prices for products and services are displayed on our website or communicated in-store. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time or correct inadvertent pricing errors.
We may modify or discontinue any service or feature without notice. We may permanently or temporarily suspend access to any service without liability.
3. Intellectual Property
All materials on this website—including text, images, logos, graphics, software, and related intellectual property—are the exclusive property of Charmhaven Laundrette. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content.

5. Customer Responsibilities (All Services)
You agree to:

Remove all items from pockets (including pens, lip balms, vapes, batteries, coins, and sharp objects).

Disclose any special care requirements, pre-existing damage, stains, fabric weaknesses, or delicate materials.

Avoid submitting items contaminated with bodily fluids, chemicals, biohazards, asbestos, or hazardous waste.

Understand that some stains cannot be removed and some items may not return to original condition.

Accept that normal wear and tear may occur during cleaning.
Damage caused by foreign objects left inside garments is the customer’s responsibility.
6. Self-Service Laundry Conditions
When using our self-serve machines, you accept responsibility for selecting the correct wash/dry cycles. We are not liable for:

Dye transfer or colour-run

Shrinkage or stretching

Pet hair transfer
-
Damage caused by foreign objects
-
Items damaged by misuse of machinery
Machine availability cannot be guaranteed.
7. Full-Service Laundry (Wash/Dry/Fold)
We use industry-standard detergents and reasonable care in cleaning. However, we do not guarantee:

Complete stain removal

Prevention of shrinkage or colour loss

Preservation of fragile embellishments (e.g., beads, sequins, buttons, cords)

Restoration of heavily soiled items
Claims for missing or damaged items must be made within 48 hours of collection or delivery.
8. Ironing Services
We take reasonable care while ironing. However, some fabrics—including delicate, aged, weakened, or heat-sensitive materials—may react unpredictably. Shine marks, seam separation, adhesive breakdown, and general wear may occur based on garment condition.
9. Dry Cleaning – Third-Party Processing
Charmhaven Laundrette does not perform dry cleaning on-site. All dry cleaning is processed by an independent third-party dry-cleaning facility.
By submitting items for dry cleaning, you acknowledge and accept that:

Charmhaven Laundrette acts solely as an agent.

All cleaning work is performed by a third-party provider.

Liability for workmanship, cleaning failures, loss, or damage—including in events such as fire, flood, contamination, equipment malfunction, or disaster at the third-party facility—rests with the third-party provider and/or their insurer.

Charmhaven Laundrette is not responsible for compensation or reimbursement relating to dry-cleaning claims.

We will assist by providing information and forwarding updates where possible.
Dry-cleaning claims are generally assessed according to the Drycleaning Institute of Australia Fair Claims Guide and relevant consumer laws.
10. Pickup & Delivery Service Terms
By booking a pickup or delivery, you agree to:

Provide accurate access instructions for the driver.

Understand that pickup and delivery will occur at the front door of the provided address, unless an alternative location is pre-arranged and recorded. No one is required to be home.

Accept responsibility for items once delivered to the designated drop-off location.

Understand that time windows are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or operational delays.
If items are left outside for pickup, you accept responsibility for them until they are collected by our driver.
11. Lost or Damaged Items (All Services Except Dry Cleaning)
Charmhaven Laundrette exercises due care and skill in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. However, we are not liable for:

Items not listed or not identifiable

Pre-existing damage, deterioration, or fabric weaknesses
-
Damage caused by foreign objects left in pockets
-
Colour-loss, shrinkage, dye transfer, or fabric defects
-
Missing or damaged embellishments, zippers, cords, or buttons
If Charmhaven Laundrette is found to be negligent, compensation will be assessed using the Drycleaning Institute of Australia Fair Claims Guide, considering the item’s age, condition, depreciation, and original value.
The maximum compensation per item is limited to the lower of its depreciated value or the cost of cleaning, unless otherwise required by law.
Claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving items.
12. Uncollected Items
Items not collected within 30 days may be donated, recycled, or disposed of at our discretion. We will attempt contact using the details provided. No compensation is payable for items disposed of under this clause.
13. NDIS Participants
For NDIS recipients:

Services may be invoiced directly to the participant, plan manager, or support coordinator.

Customers remain responsible for payment if funding is exhausted, unavailable, or declined.

Accurate billing and plan details must be provided.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Charmhaven Laundrette harmless from any claims arising from:

Misuse of the website

Misrepresentation of items provided for cleaning

Damage caused by undisclosed foreign objects or hazards

Damage to machines due to items you submit

Any breach of these Terms
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Charmhaven Laundrette is not liable for:

Loss of profits, goodwill, or data

Events beyond our reasonable control, including fire, disaster, or damage occurring at third-party dry-cleaning facilities
Nothing in these Terms limits rights provided under the Australian Consumer Law.

You agree to receive occasional promotional messages from us. You may opt out at any time by notifying us.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in NSW courts or tribunals.
